Satan Card Companies

I have been trying for about five years to rid all the debt that Renee and I have acquired through our 8½ years of marriage. That is a tough thing to do on our own. At the beginning of the summer we had gone to the Lord to help us get out of debt. At the end of summer we were well on our way.

The Lord started showing me right after I came a believer to get out from under our loans. I didn't understand that at the time but I tried to obey. We paid off the truck, we paid off people we owed, and we did what He wanted us to do, we didn't take out any more loans.

Now that we have the monthly bills caught up and the credit cards paid off (we owed $4700.00), we are well on our way to getting out of debt. At the beginning of June we owed $54,485.32 with three months behind in the house payment, which was $1071.48. We had over $500.00 in business and home phone bills. The electricity bill was starting to climb for the annual price increase in the summer and it was two months behind. And there was more.

But within one month the Lord stepped in and showed me or actually what really happened was, I stepped out of the way and allowed the Lord to take over. But nonetheless He took over. We made out a budget by the week and for the next few months. Once I started obeying the Lord and allowing Him to show me what to do, we started coming out of debt. Within this one month of June, He supernaturally caught us up and paid most of the next month’s bills. Folks we have a Good God.

Now we are under $50,000 in debt. That includes a house payment that is up-to-date and a school loan that is also up-to-date. That is the most of the $50,000 we owe.

Now that I have gotten my act together, credit card companies are now bombarding us. It is bad enough that we get those pre-approved credit cards in the mail, where all you would have to do is sign your name and you are well on your way back into debt. Now they are calling me on the phone and begging me to get into debt. I had a man call me this morning and tell me the only way I could get credit is to get a credit card and pay it off. Well if that is the case, then I got credit, because I just paid off two credit cards. And the worst of it all was he wouldn't take no for an answer.

These are not credit cards, they are satan cards. The temptation from Hell. I never could get enough credit cards when I was trying to get them and now that I don't want them, I can't get rid of the offers.

You know the Lord says in Deut.28:12-13 He says 12"You will lend and not borrow" 13" You are the head not the tail, you are above not below". Well to be this way, you have to be out of debt. You cannot be a lender if you have debt, since it is His will for you not to owe anyone. So if you lend and you have not the means to pay your own bills, then you are going against scriptures we it says Romans 8:13 "Owe no one!" So pay off your debt and the best way to do it is to quit buying things you can't afford or really don't need.

We have purchased things in the past that we thought we really needed and we didn't. Since we started this budget, and we think we need something, we pray and ask the Lord is this what we need, is this for us or for you. Ask Him to put in your heart, His desires and take your fleshly desires out. His desires are greater that your desires and it is in His will. You may be wanting a car and you are looking at a used car and He may be trying to tell you don't need that car for He has a better car, a new car in mind for you and a better way of getting it. But if we follow our desires it will usually fall back in our face.

Get out of debt, get rid of credit cards, pay cash for your needs or believe in the supernatural way of receiving your needs. If it cost more than you have pray about it, it may not be what you need, or it might be given to you a different way.

BE Blessed!
