The Devil sounding like God

I was trying to help a friend of mine today for something he had asked me about just a day or so earlier. But when I went to do this, it backfired in my face. I made two people upset with me since I didn’t do some investigating first.

Have you ever thought you heard from God, it sounded like Him, it felt like Him and everything fell right into place and then when you did it out of faith it exploded in your face? Well that is what I did. I can’t find this scriptually but I have seen some things that the enemy has done in order to make me do things that don’t do well, and what happened today was one of them.

This is where I need greater discernment or is it? No, I need to seek Him first and He will tell me what to do. The enemy can and will mimic God. He will sound like Him, he will act like Him and even give you the emotions to feel like Him, but it isn’t Him, it is the enemy. I have discovered that when you are in the presence of the Lord and then you are unable to sense His presence it is because the demonic forces are out there trying to keep you away. If the enemy was to leave or pull back, you would become aware of the presence of God, thus give you a false feeling that what you are to do is of God. This is where you need to seek the Lord to see if it is His will or not.

So what happened to me was a big setup. Satan let me know that this person was at a certain location and I turned and found him there, then the emotions followed that I found him and the enemy moved back a little bit to let me feel the presence of the Lord and I thought it was all legit, but it wasn’t. I really stuck my foot in my mouth on that one and got two people upset with me. All I had to do when I get to that point of sensing the spirits is to stop, drop and pray. Something that I forgot, but have now learned.

So if you have those types of occasions that are happening to you, listen carefully to what is being said, go in there with a plan and Seek Him First to make sure it is of Him and not of the enemy.

I have experienced this pulling away of the enemy many times before in order to see the Lord, but this one got me. The devil is a sneaky liar and his ways are very cunning so be very careful to do what Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek Ye First and His Righteousness, and all this will be handed to you.”

Remember Patience is 100% of the battle!

BE Blessed!
